Hello!

I'm the founder of The Grayston Clinic.
Inspired and informed by my studies of human behaviour, professional training, and personal life experiences, I'm here to act as your guide, support system and your very own cheerleader as you take your own steps towards healing from heartbreak.
I promise you, you CAN get through this!

My Story So Far...
I have always been fascinated by human relationships.
I studied Social Policy and Psychology at The University of Manchester; specialising in personal life relationships, intimacy and socio-sexual behaviour. My thesis focused on "challenging perceived heteronormative emotional responses to sexual intimacy". In short; I studied sex and love, and how those two things can, but don't always, correlate!

I then began an 18 year career as a Television Producer; making sensitive documentaries for BBC, ITV and C4. I worked with individuals facing many challenges; from sexual assualt through to violence, trauma, addiction, divorce and loss. I helped to produce two books with survivors of child abuse, and produced films about marriage counselling, psycho-sexual therapy, later-stage virginity, taboo relationships, HIV, kinks, non-traditional relationship structures, sex and disability, and sex work.

Often, I was the first person to whom someone had told their story. I recognised it was because so often in life, conversations can be less about listening, and more just about waiting for your turn to talk. Many of those who spoke to me had never really been heard by the people closest to them, and it was in this stage of my career that I learned first hand the real value of practising empathetic, non-judgemental listening.

I realised that I wanted to do something meaningful with my career, to help others.

My career then evolved and in 2018 took a new direction into a senior HR management role, specialising in organisational design, with a focus on talent growth and retention. In this role I developed my coaching and mentoring skills; supporting individuals at all levels with their confidence, communication styles and advising on management techniques.

It was then that I understood just how impactful coaching could be; seeing the results unfold in front of me in the workplace was evidence that I could use coaching to support people undergoing dramatic changes in their personal lives too.

I went on to further my training in coaching, counselling and mental health support; I qualified as an Accredited Coach with the IDCCE, I'm a member of EMCC and abide by the Global Code of Ethics, and I'm currently studying at the highest level with the CIPD in Strategic People Management.

Separately, I'm also a trained and Accredited Humanist Celebrant, and a member of Humanists UK. I'm a big believer in marriage, but I believe in my clients' right to happiness more; and will always support people who realise that their marriage or relationship has come to a conclusion.

I now combine all of my training, skills, research, passion and personal and professional life experience to offer bespoke relationship coaching. I love being able to provide a safe, secure and completely non-judgemental space for people to discuss their thoughts, fears and ideas; and I work with my clients to take pro-active, supported steps towards the life they would like to create.
I would love to be able to help you too!
